Hurricane

Post by Virginia Gentleman »

Hope none on here were affected directly by Katrina. I know Chemist is in Lucyanna, but says he was out of the path. I think others here are from Alabama. Everyone OK? I have 2 friends that live in/near NO. They were able to evacuate at the 11th hour. One lives in Covington, and his home is totaled, back there now trying to salvage mementos. Some of his co-workers are dead. The other was at Tulane, looking to pick back up in Virginia or Texas. Really feel for all those hit by the storm.

Seems hard to think of it as a "storm" though.
?Maybe Act of God?

I hope anyone affected will find the help they need.

Hey VG, I'm leavin next week headed for Covington,VA for the week end of the 23rd and was wonderin if Bacon Hollow was gettin any adverse weather from Ophelia. I know its not a strong one but we used to get nasty rain and winds from the eastern hurricanes in southern WV. Just curious.

Hey TH, you'll be fine in Covington (love that part of the state). We haven't gotten a drop of rain from Ophelia, and I don't think we will. She's hovering off the coast, and should be long gone by the time you're here anyway (will be up in NE by Sun.). Wish we'd get some storms, actually, we haven't seen a drop of rain for about a month.

Have a fine trip to the Old Dominion.
