Just bought a new toy!

Post by Gamekeeper »

Hi folks.

I've made a few litres of spirits using an 'easystill' or 'airstill'. I have found this messy and time consuming so I've just upgraded to a 25 litre reflux still from StillSpirits. My first mash is underway and I'm looking forward to turning it into something nice.

I have a few questions regarding flavourings etc but I will have alook through the forum threads to see if any can be answered without asking the same questions over again. I have some lovely frozen fruit in my freezer that I would like to use but I don't have a clue! I was going to turn it into wine but now I am the proud owner of the reflux still starter kit, who needs wine?!

This is my first post on this forum and I'm looking forward to sharing some ideas and recipes with you guys. I will get around to configuring a signature and stuff in good time!

This is a good starting place for essence flavouring Gamekeeper. I don't use them but a lot of people do when they start stilling, mainly cos it's quick I guess. Seeing as you have frozen fruit, I personally reckon you go would be best to go the fruit way.
