Crossflow LM Question

I am building a LM reflux still that is using Harrys crossflow condenser. This is my first still. I may go to VM later on. The way I figure it is if I built the VM now I might not appreciate it's superiority over the LM. Does this make sense? LOL I think I can add the VM later on. I just want to get cooking and test my skills.
My question is, where would be the best place to take my product from?
I can take the product from either one side of the condenser or both sides. I can also put the plates in the column and take the product from there.
