old wash

Post by Guest »

about 1 and a half mounths ago my peach wash stoped fermenting and i was gona let it sit for about a week to clear up but instead i forget about it and its been sitting this whole time. i checked it today and had a really strong alcohol smell that kinda burnt and i noticed it was bubble like it was still fermenting. there was just about no sugar in the wash when i let it sit so im thinking it might be some kind of bacteria. does anyone think its safe to distill then drink??? would there be anything to worry about???

Fruits are notoriously slow to ferment out. If it doesn't smell funky, I'd go with it. Check the alcohol content, and if it's above about 13%, you really don't have to worry about bacteria, though some can survive (you'd probably smell them).
Purposeful motion, for one so insane...
