How effective are campden tablets in controlling the growth of mold? And what kind of effect does it have on grain germination?
What I am thinking is that if I were to try and do my own malting of oats/rye/corn/barley, can I add camden tablets to the soaking water and hope that enough residual sulfides remain on the grain surface when they are spread out for sprouting?
I am not too worried about the drying because I am thinking of using a dehydrator with temp control to perform that step.
So lets hear some thoughts about this, don't be shy
