hello!
grandson of a moonshinner, great grandson of one too. only one i ever knew told me don,t do it and if,n ya did, don,t sell it. sound advice. if it hadn,t been for moonshine, i,d probably be working in a coal mine in Kentucky. granddaddy got busted(making shine to sell for land tax money) at age 19 and was given the choice of prison or the army. chose the army and long story short, i,m here in the deep south. played with distilling on and of and have moved up to a 15 gal beer keg rig. seeing all the different setup on this sight, i want to haul mine to the scrapyard. it ain,t pretty and all of the tubing is ss until it goes in the worm bucket. 3/8 copper from then on. almost got the cooking part down, still working on the birdwatchers and gerber wash. have tried straight corn with some success. small washes careful notes. this is so much fun, no wonder it,s illegal!!
