Re: G'DAY! COULD DO WITH A LITTLE HELP NEWBIE
Whoa! For so many $'s and a little reading around here you will have it all. The still is only the other half. First is a good brew. Second is a good home-made still that beats the pants off'n those old-style offerins. Third is doing it without any turbos, carbons, ner clearing agents. Forth is careful cuts, experience, and agein. All the info is here, and the bits'n pieces are available in the supermarket, tipshop/recycling centre, hardware store, or as a last resort the plumbing supplier. The brewshops have some goodies like the alcometer, bottles and corks!
Those who buy-in regret it sooner or later. Please proceed as above.

Welcome to another Aussie DOLIKEADRINK, If you type in capital letters it implies you are shouting.
Build your own still, you will achieve a better still and cheaper too, if you are in WA and need any help, just PM me.

You need some copper in the system to help remove the sulphides in the distillate.DOLIKEADRINK wrote:what is better copper or stainless steel
PM means Personal message. See under my avitar in this post, there are icons for PM or Email.
normally no, but it can happen especially if you are distilling on the grain.DOLIKEADRINK wrote:is ti true that a electric element in the boiler will burn the wash?

Typing in all CAPS is the Internet equivalent of shouting. Some folks cosider it rude and many people will actually react as if you really were shouting.DOLIKEADRINK wrote:G'DAY! PM means "Personal Message" Its the little box on the side that will start you off in a box and you can write a personal message in it that will go ONLY to that person...the rest of the group wont see it.
Cheers!
