stoarge of low wines for spirit runs

Post by xr6tblue »

Hi guys, had a bit of a search about but could not really find what i am after. I understand that you really should not put high ABV liquids in plastic containers. So my question is. If i water down to say 30-40% can i store it in my 20 liter clearing cube? Aussie guys, I am using the 20Ltr water container from bunnings, i use them to clear my beer and i intend on using them to store my stripping runs in until i have a could volume to do a spirit run as i am running out of glass containers, I can only drink so many V8 veg/fruit juices :D

Thanks for your help

I wouldn't. Old beer kegs make great low wines storage, just so you know.

I use 5lt glass storage jars from the Reject Shop, they are $5 each, also they are good for oaking, currently got 10.
If you are in West Aus, PM me I still have a couple of kegs.
