I'll be silent. But I have a name (that will spill the beans) when you are ready.

I'll follow Larry's example and remain silent. Mainly because I have no idea what it could possibly be, but I sure wish I had one just in case I ever need it.

That was my first thought. At 20 bucks a pound it could save LWTCS a lot of cash.Mr.Spooky wrote:i got it!!!! is it something to collect all your solder drops in???![]()

Re: ok, what is it?
Hello all,
Like all ppl wioth no metal work background when I started soldering my first still I joined a support group called "Copper Renevators Asstance Program" or CRAP for sort. A branch of which can be found in a lot of novices garages/sheds.
This is a tool they recommend its called a....Solder Housing Investment Trough or SHIT for short. Yes is designed to recycle solder splashes. The large solder sticks it makes are obviously....SHIT sticks.
So if your first still build is a little crappy or your making shit ...relax it's normal.
cheers
dave

Re: ok, what is it?
That is classic david.
Now I could see the need if your soldering shitty 24/7 (or if yer LW) Naw, Even LW cant be that bad. Tipically, if yer joint is clean, and solder is running out, your joint is soldered. Im not claiming to be a master, I drip a few times, but not anything worth reclaiming. I guess, if you have a good excuse to build another tool, Go for it
