how hot can you let your cooling water get to before you get worryed?

Never measured as such, but 130 is scalding. And you don't want to loose vapor.

Re: cooling water temp
Do you have a worm bucket? Mine can get pretty hot toward the end of a run, and even though I can recharge with cold water if needed and sometimes I do, as long as it's knocking down the vapor 100% then I let it ride. Never a problem. But if you're worried, then no harm in recharging. bd.

My water container is steaming at the end of the run.

The temp at the the top is a lot hotter the the temp at the bottom, heat rises, ie. the bottom of the swimming hole is freezing cold. Measuring the top temp is no good and dumping from the bottom is a wast of time. If you want to add some put your hose at the bottom of your tub and force the hot water over the sides.

Re: cooling water temp
i might make a setup like that. i mean the radiator part. i can get a new radiator for nothing and would save me changing the water.
