strip and spirit run with sodiun carbonate

Post by sammy »

So I ran my first batch and ended up drinking some heads...sick stomach. Reran the remainder with the second wash...after some very useful help..thx Wolf, much better but still a medicinal flavor. Keep reading as everyone says... and thx for that too...everyone.

Found some sodium carbonate at the pool store, I love going into all the different stores, to pick up things, and no one around you has any idea for what! Used about a teaspoon per Liter, and did a spirit run.

If your new at this, strip and then spirit run, for neutrals. You like myself may be one of those who has to touch the stove to see that it's hot, or you might be one of the chosen few who listens to those who know and do what your told. If you want it clean and oh so good, run it fast, then slow. Then grab a glass and have a homemade Mojito while you type.

Thx again for all that everyone has put up on the board. It really is a ball. Out of 10, 750ml bottles, of a mix of 55% and 40% abv, so far one very good 80 p vodka, one, now less than full 80 p rum and about 750 ml of 90%, not sure though, can you say, don't drop the alcholmeter ? She still putting out at 173 F drop by drop.

onya mate. just don't use that carbonate in flavoured spirits unless you want boring rum / whisky whatever.
