Does anyone use a steamer rig, specifically, I am looking at mounting a reflux column to the top of a thumper barrel, or making a collumn that incorperates the thumper type base with a reflux tower, and having my primary boiler seperate. Something like babako's eliptical head reflux mounted (and removeable) to the top of a 6 gal ss milking bucket. this would in the best circumstances be usable to steam thick mashes for whiskey(without tower), and make strong neutral spirit from sugarwash without reworking my 5 galon potstill.
opinions or personal experiences?
