clouding after tempering
im not sure why it did this but i watered down 2qts of 120proof down to 90proof yesterday and for some reason both jars got cloudy overnight. both jars were perfectly clear before hand, so today instead of using bottled water i tried some with tap water and it barly clouded at all. ive never had this happen before. any ideas?

Just a couple of ideas come to mind, your water could be very hard...or some tails were smeared into your cuts...or the bottles that you tempered or stored overnight in may have been washed with dishwashing soap that was not completely removed. Mud

its gotta be the water im using. because i didnt have this problem when i used distilled water in my mashes instead of tap. i think that, and using tap to cut down on proof is causing this to happen.
