what happens if ?

Post by rexxxlo »

i have access to a centrifuge and was wondering if it could help me in my alcohol making ? what would it do? would it do anything to the wash, final product?
is the wash chemically bonded? can the water be spun out ? does any of this mean anything or do i need some sleep ?

i did a search on centrifuge and came up with two results neither having anything to do with what i was thinking

and the only thing i found on homedistillers was that molasses is made with a centrifuge
and this

No you can't centrifuge out water. The most you could use a centrifuge for is rapid clearing of the wash or removing charcoal dust from the spirit. All is can do it increase the rate at which solids come out of suspension.

As watershead says about the charcoal. That would be quite slick. Will it spin out more than a test tube or ten ?
