First time fermenting

Post by freestyletrev »

Well, last week i started two batches, 2lbs cornmeal, 8lbs sugar, 4g of spring water, and a 10grams of brew yeast, had it at around 75F for 5 days, and i had little to no alcohol after being distilled. Then a sugar, spring water, turbo yeast mixture; also 4 gallons, 75F.(still fermenting). After being mixed i had no bubbling with my air locks, or from what i could see no CO2 at all. Tonight i mixed a sugar and brew yeast mixture, but i used river water. and still i had little bubbling.
Im heating about half the water to 80F and then disoving my sugar, then adding water and cooling it to around 65F, then adding yeast.Any suggestions? im new to the site, so any help is greatly appreciated!! thanks! :D
