cranapple,rasberry...

Post by ALLGLASS »

Hi guys.
The local discount food store had a sale on 100% fruit juices (2qt bottles) they had cranberry-apple, cranberry-raspberry,and cranberry-pomegranate so I grabbed a couple of each. I made 3 washes one of each flavor, I added 1 cup of inverted syrup (1cup sugar to 1 cup water) to each carboy and a 1/2 tsp of yeast nutrients (what they suggest for a 1gallon wash). activated 3 packets (one for each) of EC1118 in a little of the wash warmed up to 100 let it go for 30 mins then pitched it in.. WOW they took off!!!! I have done a bunch of sugar wash's before but never messed with fruit, these things are fizzing like soda! I didn't take a SG because I thought the solids in the juice would throw it off???
So any ideas on what the finished wash will be like?
