Gotta love Craig's List

Post by oakspring »

:D It must be the season? Seems a lot of folks are dumping their brewing gear here of late. I've scored most of my brewing kit on Craig's list. Here's my latest find:
Image
2 liter flip top jugs for less than $5 bucks each! they retail for about $10 apiece plus shipping. Don't you think those are perfect for some home brewed hooch?

In addition to a case of the jugs above, I also scored the following from the same guy:

-Two (plus) cases of the 16oz brown beer bottless
-A case of 16oz brown flip-top bottles
-Vinator Bottle rinser (needed one of these)
-Black Beauty Capper (now have a back up)
-Two bags of beer bottle caps more is better!
-Triple Scale Hydrometer (always good to have a back up)
-6 gallon glass carboy w/universal carboy bung (broke my other one cleaning it)
-several feet of transfer tubing (never enough of this on hand)
-4 drilled carboy bungs
-5 packets of yeast (Nottingham Ale, Safale S-04, Safbrew S-33)
-4 Air Locks, 3-three piece and 1 bubbler
-3 bucket spigots
-1 6 gallon bottling/brew bucket with spigot
-bottle brush
-plus some odds and ends thrown in.

Picked up the whole sheebang for $75. The 2 liter jugs retail for $59.00 plus shipping out of Williams Brewing!! It was the 2 liter jugs I was going for, the rest is just icing on the cake.

Looks nice, the only problem with those flip top sealers is the rubber gasket won't last with liquor, you will probably want to change that out.
