Fermentation Question
I have tried a few new ideas and am not sure whats going on. I generaly prepare 4 five gallon buckets at a time. 1st bucket has 5 lbs of craissens (cranberry raisens) and 5 lbs of white sugar. air lock has been going balistic for 3 days now. 2nd bucket has sweet feed mix that i have had very good luck with in the past. Airlock is bubbling nicely. 3rd bucket has 7 lbs of brown sugar and 7 lbs of cracked corn. airlock is bubbling nicely. 4th bucket is the problem. I did a simple mash of 7 lbs brown sugar and water. After i pitched the distillers yeast....nothing for two days. pitched some bakers yeast.....nothing for another day. added some barely and heated to 100 F. now it seems to be doing a little but i expected more with all that sugar.... any ideas how to save this bucket?

Re: Fermentation Question
High potential %ABV and lack of nutrients are the two biggest reasons for washes to stall... Cool temperatures and pH issues follow, with infections lagging far behind...
