Is Liquid glucose the same as Dextrose

Ok so I am making my first suger mash, I had added 6 litres of "liquid glucose" and 20 litres of water. I tasted the liquid gluclose and it didnt taste very sweet to me. Am I using the right suger to make Vodka?

Let me suggest white sugar, the cheapest you can find, as the best sugar for makin' vodka.

liquid glucose is sold as a sweetner/thickener for liqueurs and cordials. its not the right stuff and it costs serious money.

I'll stick with gin. Champagne is just ginger ale that knows somebody.~Hawkeye Pierce

glucose is less sweet than sucrose by about 1/2. many sports drinks use glucose since you can get many calories and it is not sickly sweet. unless it is cheaper for you than sugar dont use it, it is also not as "efficient" as sucrose meaning you need slightly more kg glucose than sucrose to get teh same %. save it for your liquers if you have bought it
