Crab Report
Still looking good out there, from shine to crab the cooker stays busy.
Sometimes I wonder why is that Frisbee getting bigger......and then it hits me.

Re: Crab Report
Nice, I just came back from a trip to the coast. I didn't get any crabs, but they seemed plentiful for the folks chasing them. I did bring home spanish mackerals, speckled trout, redfish, and released 5 blacktip sharks... fun trip!

Re: Crab Report
I remember, quite clearly, the time that 9platoon got crabs. We all had to hang our blanket on a what looked like a mile of wire fence and when we picked them up later in the day they felt like sheets of plywood.
Can't remember eating the though, but my memory isn't what it used to be.

Re: Crab Report
Hey Junkyard, What coast are you from, all those fish you are talking about don't sound like the Pacific coast, at least not like PNW. I do my crab gettin on the inside (hood Canal, puget sound) at the end of the day with the crab still live we just bring the cook pot to a boil with some onion, garlic and what ever else in sea water and garlic and if you have any extra garlic throw that in too, boil them on a good roll for about 10 minutes while you sip on a good drink then try not to make your self sick eatin too much.
Them crabs that blanik is talking about I aint ever caught but I know some fellers that have they don't sound like as much fun. Blue ointment should do the trick )

Gulf of Mexico here... Blue Crabs.
I do them with corn and potatoes and lots of cayenne. Pretty much whatever we have goes into the pot. I love doing shrimp with them too.

The dungeness crabs in the pic are about 61/2 to 7 inches across the back, big enough to put your blanket back on you. )
