apples are almost ready around here, and i wanna make some brandy! ive been reading on here and im still confused..
1. should i cook the apples after i cut and clean them, then mash them, put them through a cider press, and then add water/sugar/yeast?
-or-
2.clean then cook apples, mash or mix(with a sharpend motar mixer) then take pulp and add sugar/water/yeast?
should i mash/mix the apples before or after i cook them?
is it better to freeze apples then mash/mix?
-this will be my first brandy.. so any advice is greatly apreciated!
