Post by TMA »

Hey all !

I've got a danish Carlsberg/Tuborg -keg where the connector has the size shown below in the drawing,....my question is this - will my keg fit a standard 2 inch connector (for example on a Mile Hi 2 inch still tower) :?: :?: :?:

63.5 mm = 2.5" So yes a standard 2" triclamp flange and clamp will work.

Short answer is yes it will, because it really only needs to be accurate on the 63,5mm dimension.

A normal 2" triclover or triclamp is 64mm at the same point yours is 63,5mm and the clamps are called out at 67mm to allow for the tapers.

See this chart for the reference http://www.geordi.com.au/ferrule%20dimensions.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" rel="nofollow

The interior connections are different (thread vs bayonet), but the exterior dims are almost identical.

The keg is not rubber coated is it? If it is, you must remove the rubber and add legs of some sort.

I use the rubber coated as a fermenter, where the insulation is a good thing.

A 2" triclamp flange would actually be 2.516" OD at the flange or 63.9 mm.

It will work fine.
