Finally pulled the trigger and ordered all my tri-clamps and ferrules from St.Pats. That $31 was the easy part . They sure are proud of that copper pipe. After trying to nail it down here local I finally ordered a 10' stick. I got 10 foot chunk of 2" and two 90's for $165 shipped to the door . Sad thing is I probably only "need" 4-5 foot of it. I could only get it locally as a huge arse 20 footer.
Now, I'm ready for the keg altering and assembly this weekend . Now to figure out which 'type' of thumper/doubler I want to use.
There is no thing like to much copper pipe. Tinker a bit here fix stuff there and you will find your pipe doesn't last so long as you think(that is if you are into the hobby of building and testing stuff)
Ah! got it nimrod. I thought you might be going to cut the top out or something like that and for that there are much better ways, keep us posted, good luck. OMD

Sometimes I wonder why is that Frisbee getting bigger......and then it hits me.
Yeah, thats the problem I have now! I have a lid that I cant keep sealed for my life, there is no way I can deal with huge holes.... ..... This way I can make those good OLE' PTFE Tape Gaskets and not have to worry to much in the way of leakage.
Keep at it nimrod, it'll all happen. Take a look at Milehi stills, they have any and all of the keg to colum conectors you might need and they ship fast.

I have been browsing milehi and hillbilly. I am going to be doing EASY FLANGE. It seems to be easy, and the plus is I have an abundance of #6 bare copper .
