Testing for all grain sugar conversion
I asked the wife to pick up a bottle of iodine while she was out. She picked up a bottle of Iodides Tincture. This is a clear de-colorized iodine (45% denatured alcohol. Is this suitable for testing an AG sugar conversion?

Re: Testing for all grain sugar conversion
easiest way to tell is test it with some starchy water , and then with some sugar water
...iodine typically turns starch black, and has no reaction to sugar
