I'm building a boiler from 316 stainless. 8 Gallons. It has a flat top that will be bolted down to the pot. Like a pressure tank. Trying to figure out to seal the lid? I'd rather NOT use flour paste. My first thought was to find some food-grade hose or tube, slit it length ways and slide it over the edge of the pot before the lid goes on. Just looking for guidance

Re: Sealing Lid on Stainless Pot?
Food grade rodents mean its alcohol safe. Please read the rules we live by. Pay close attention to number 8. The only synthetic you will find suggested to use around here is PTFE. And that's what I'm going to suggest. Samohon's everlasting gasket would work good for you.
