Using an IPAD on this site!
I have always been a PC user as in my profession before retiring the software for industrial design has mostly been on that platform. I love this new IPAD but it is taking some getting used to, example:
On one of the threads a member said it didn't happen if you ain't got pictures. So taking pictures using the IPAD was easy, loading an app to make it a proper size for HD was easy, my problem occurred when I tried to load the picture as the browse button is not available but inside the area that would have the URL is a button that says choose file. Problem is it won't let me select it. Any thoughts from you apple guys out there?

Get the Web Albums app. I assume you already use iResize or something to size it easily? Using Web Albums you can create a folder or folders, import/upload your sized pic into the app/folder you specify. Then "look at" the picture you have imported. In the upper right you'll see the ubiquitous square with an "out arrow" icon Apple uses. Touch that, select "copy photo link". At the top of this reply box I am writing in touch the Img button. Touch the space between the "img" brackets that appear and HOLD to make sure you are in between the two bracket sets (this can be tricky if you have big hands like me but you'll get the hang of gently rolling while you hold to find the right copy/insertion spots, etc. with practice. Plus you get the neat little window to guide you). When the function window pops up after you find the spot and lift your finger, choose paste. You should now have a link to your pic inserted between the brackets, and if it is acceptable size, it will insert your pic (which is web hosted in the ether somewhere) in your post.
Make sure you have Location Services for that app or the whole iPad turned off so your pic doesn't contain your geographic location if you care.
If you struggle I'd be willing to walk you through it over the phone....just p/m me. Must be getting old...I'm up at 5am on my day off!!!!

You can't ever use the load button with an iPad and most PC based programs like HD uses won't let you. That's why we iPad users need to find "go between" apps like iResize and Web Albums. I've gotten to the point where I can take a pic, resize, upload to Web Album, copy the link and insert a pic in about a minute. We have a time advantage in the long run because we can take pics in real time with our device and not have to dick around with loading it to a PC yada yada... Haven't tried any video yet...but i will!
I also highly recommend one of these:

Thanks for the reply, will check it out! When I flew home for the east coast I sat next to a guy that had the professional Brookstone case with keyboard. All leather and removable keyboard, very nice and a bit more spendy than the one you suggest.

I'm rough on my stuff. I have an iPad2 as well. I like my Logitech as it has a magnetic bottom and I can "stick" it on all sorts of surfaces in the shop/garage, which is nice so I don't knock it over. Kinda cool. Hope it works for you...I'm still on my first cup so I may have garbled something in there....

I am lost at the point I highlighted in red? Maybe this is better as a PM message!Frosteecat wrote:Get the Web Albums app. I assume you already use iResize or something to size it easily? Yeah I thought that would be confusing. In ANY "Post a Topic" or "Post a Reply" window that comes up after, you'll see all the smilies on the left side of where you're typing, all the colors on the right, and across the top you'll see a bunch of buttons. Hit the one that says "Img" once you've done the other stuff and have the Copy a Link to Photo from the Web Albums app. You'll have to switch back and forth from Web Albums to your reply box to paste.

Tablets are definitely the platform of choice when making likker IMHO
I'm not using an iPAD as i've got a Blackberry Playbook; awesome little device, very easy to interact with HD so i'm happy.

No problem. iPads all about getting around in a PC world...
