look im new to this but ive made vodka before. but what i really want to make is rum but i cant find a simple recipe any where. now im not the kind of guy to be asked to be spoon fed info but that is basically what i need.
btw i was told instead of using molases i can use brown sugar if so how much? because it is really hard to find mollases were i live as there are no horses around where i live. thanks.

But failing your inclinitation to reading on homedistiller.org,
Rum is simply distilled molasses.
Giving greater detail than "dilute the molasses with water sufficiently so it will ferment" would negate the basic simplicity of rum....
Though like in all seemingly simple things there are endless details....
I call it "church supper syndrome"...
example: if you ask 20 different ladies to each make a particular
specific dish and you even supply them with an exact receipe
the resulting 20 dishes will often bear only passing similarities
to each other...
