Ready for the weekend

Heading out tonight for a 2 day tuna fishing trip out of San Diego, I should be set for a while on fresh fish, wish me luck.

Buddy called me last night and
had more fish than they wanted

Got 5, 7 to 8 pound Steelhead's and
and 4, 15 pound summer run Salmon

I'll be half the night cutting fish tonight

Cut the Salmon for the freezer

Put the Steelhead on the smoker yesterday

Brine was from a buddy, Picking salt, molasses, garlic

8 hours on the smoker buried in brown sugar and lime slices

Wifey gave it 3 thumbs up !!

Would be interested in what boat you went out on as a lot of the 28' tuna boats that are charted out of San Francisco are made in my town not sure if any are in SD.

Was a pretty nice trip, I caught 4 yellowfin tuna,1 dorado, and 11 yellowtail. I have been eating well for a couple of weeks. Grilled and smoked, I love it all.

Bushman, the boat I went out on was the Grande out of point loma sportfishing. It is 85' long and 24 ' wide.

Wow, that's a ship there horsedude, I've only been out on one tuna trip, out of West Port Washington but it was a blast, live bait and light riggin.
Sometimes I wonder why is that Frisbee getting bigger......and then it hits me.
