I'm looking to do a ujsm and I can get whole corn kernels for practically free.
could I blend them!!! I know i have done coffee in the blender and it worked good ( too cheap to buy a grinder)

whats cheaper, a grinder or a blender.
Running enough corn through a blender would probably be about enough to kill it...

You can buy a corona hand crank grinder for around $20. That would hold you over till you decide you need to go bigger.
I've used a blender for wheat. Not all that easy. Kinda a pita if you ask me. Load a little blend it and dump. Repeat until you got it all done. It doesn't give you a consistent grind. Some is like flour and some doesn't get cracked at all. And it is loud as all get out. You put to much in the bottom turns to flour and the top does nothing. To little and it just jumps around not really getting cracked.
It does work. If your in a pinch. Buy I wouldn't want to do it on a regular basis.
