Sugar, and all about sugar washes. Where the primary ingredient is sugar, and other things are just used as nutrients.

What's the difference betwix....

Corn syrup and regular table sugar? Is one better than the other? If I wanted to swap out sugar for corn syrup, what would be a comparable rate between the two?

Difference is one is made from corn and the other from sugar cane and or sugar beats. And price. Flavor too.

There is a chart on the parent site that will give you comparative quantities for replacing white sugar with corn sugar. Among other things. I do beleave.

What are you wanting to make from it. Sugarhead whiskey or neutral?

Really didn't have anything in mind just yet. Just wondering if there was any difference taste wise between them because I have a couple bottles of it sitting in the pantry, thought I might use it sometime. You know when you're going around the house and the light bulb pops on "I could ferment that and run it in my still"? Well that's kinda what this is all about. Didn't know if anyone had tried it in a Tried and True recipe in place of regular sugar.

real the label , some have preservatives and typically need to be boiled before you try and ferment it.

And I like people that correct my spelling just about as much as the tax man. :lolno:

I blame autocorrect. But then again if I didn't use it. You wouldn't be able to read any of my posts. Not that you can anyway. But just think if they were even worse?

Haven't tried the corn syrup yet. Kinda been slowing down with deer season here, but it's almost over and I'll be running hard again.
