changing likker in barrels
I have 3 5L barrels and i have a neutral spirit oaking for 3 months in them before i started making UJSM and sweetfeed. is it a sin to empty the neutral spirits out of the barrels and fill them with UJSM and sweetfeed? will it alter the taste of the ujsm and sweetfeed or should it be ok? should i rinse the barrels before adding ujsm and sweetfeed? thanks for info.

Why did you put neutral into a barrel?
Of course it affects the flavor of what comes after.
will it be ok. Yes of course it will be ok.
Unless the neutral sucked and was not neutral, I would not rinse.
I would not put neutral into a barrel. Maybe try adding some cubes or spirals or flakes or whatever to a bottle, but save your barrels for putting the good grain likkers in. Its oak and grain that make magic... not oak and neutral... I don't really care for that flavor.

I don't know the wrestler... I picked that handle because I got a lot of stuff for this hobby from the junkyard and I was really into learning David "dawg" Grisman mandolin songs.
But no worries, I think the second batch thru the barrel is the best one any way... You didn't ruin anything... just changed it a little.

Whats that neutral taste like? I bet its pretty oaky!
