Little or nothing to do with distillation.

I bought a Sewing Machine

Post by mash rookie »

I bought a commercial walking foot upholstery sewing machine. When I was a teenager I worked part time in an upholstery shop. I never officially learned to sew but learned much by observation. A couple of times in the last 20 years I have rented commercial machines for personal projects. New upholstery in a boat once and a couple of years ago I re-upholstered my antique car interior.
It is a 1925 Cleveland. Runs like a champ. (pics if you want)
My boat has a love seat and chair that needs recovering after 12 years. It should be an easy project. They did not match when I bought them but did fit into the space in my salon.
I now have the chance to make them look like they were made for the boat and its decor.

Any of you guys do upholstery? Boat guys with fabric advice?

Got nothing in the way of advice, I bought a 1943 Singer with a potted motor last year. Hell of a machine, will do heavy canvas, denim, medium wt leather or even light weight material. Fun stuff to be made
