Hey all you southerns. I have always wanted to move to NZ. I have NEVER heard anything bad about it, it seems to have bloody perfect scenery.
But, I have never really heard anything ABOUT living there? Is it a paradise, other than legal distilling? What is the weather generaly like, and what about jobs? Any good technical firms/companies?
If any of you have lived in the eastern US, that is the mindset and experience I am coming from.
thanks for the random question!

I want my last words to be:
"Hey, this is kind of fun!!"
NZ is such a pretty country, how come so many of Kiwi's move to Australia
Used to be cause NZ was a socialist state. People who actually worked, payed about 65-70% in taxes to cover the socialist programs. Things have changed recently (past 5 years I think). They gutted the government, brought taxes back to "normal" for a western country, and dropped a lot of the socialistic entitlements. People can live in the country again (But I bet OZ is still cheaper tax wise, but I am not sure). From what I have seen, it is an extremely beautiful country. A whole lot of varied landscape in a small area.
