Column condenser

My question may have been answered around here before, I just can't quite come up with an answer thru searching, as none of my search topics are able to relay my thoughts.
So, I have a keg pot still. Two inch column that goes to an elbow to the arm, down to the condenser. Quite simple. Good results thus far. (Arm and condenser are not two inches. One and three quarters respectively). I was wanting to build a coiled copper tube condenser within the column, before the elbow. Half inch tube, with some scrubbers for turbulence. Is this a valid place to put this condenser? I have not come up with good search results to verify this idea, as previously stated. I've searched for Liebig and column condensing, I just can't see if I can place that condenser before that elbow. I don't know why I couldn't, but am just looking for assurance.

Aside from labeling it as a pot or reflux still, this would have no function? With a 42 inch column, it would be necessary to put It above take off arm?

if you put a reflux condenser before the take off then you are creating cooling management still,with these stills the temperature and the amount of cooling has to be controlled.most fiend this rather difficult.

What are you wanting to accomplish by doing this?

As Dnderhead said. You would be building a cm reflux still. If adding it below the takeoff. Actual placement and why can get quite technical. And what would need to ne added in order for it to work correctly. You may want to read the cm mod thread. Link in my signature. You will also need to read up on the theorys of the different types of reflux stills. So you know why they are configured the way they are.

But if you answer my first question. We may be able to help point you in the right direction.
