Well, I finally made some progress on my flute build. Got all the plates made,and about drilled.Broke 4 3/32nds bits today.My TSC drill press woulnt hold them, so was doin with hand drill.Was doin ok ,, but slow,,neighbor came over,,said"why not bring to my place,, sure mine will hold them".It did,, but broke two drillin 4 holes.Brought back home, put last "good" bit in,,n broke it tryin to finish one of the holes. Was a piece of bit still in,, n snapped right away.Found another,,got all but 5 holes ,n broke that one too, so of to hardware store inna mornin.
I made the plates by flattening out some 1 in,then sawin to near size with sabre saw.Then finish turnin on drill press with wood chisel n file.Got most of the other bits cut,and ready to put together,,so we'll see how goes together.Just need trim the product condenser to length, and cut tubes,,then start soldering.
