Hi folks i'm new to this site, im building a reflux colum still using a keg and was wondering if this would work as a heating controller i'm in Ireland so parts are difficult to find.

you'd be much better off going with a resistive input SSR and a simple potentiometer. Very easy to build. and easy to source parts no matter where you are

You can go the PID route but much more difficult to put together and the PID must be run in manual mode if it even has it. Large learning curve. You also need a power source for the PID
