HD Anonymous

Here I am on vacation, and am still checking my phone every chance I get. Is there some sort of support group? Maybe I should start one. The spousal unit is not very happy. Anyone else have this problem?

Well, for the most part she really doesn't care, but while I'm walking through the zoo and shes talking and I'm not paying attention to her, its a problem, same with when I checked it last night at a show...not happy.

I am an early riser so I spend most of my time on before she wakes up or like now she's watching TV.

I'm self employed so I set at this monster at my office don't spend much time on it at home, I guess I'm old school but I want some kind of jamming devise up at the house that would jam all cell phone internet and any electronic devise within 100 yards of the house. I call it the new rude, I think we are going to end up with a whole generation of hunch backs, look around where ever you are amongst the people anymore 3/4 or them have their head bent over looking at their smart phone non stop, I have seen people standing RIGHT NEXT TO EACHOTHER and texting eachother. I'll get down from my soapbox now and nothing personal hillbilly. :D

I had a similiar problem awhile back, but it was about time spent actually stillin. So, to combin my two favorite past times, I built me wife a nice comfy place to laydown in the stillin shed... Gives a whole new meaning ta LICKER...

One day last week my daughter called from her job to tell me she had left her cell phone on her nightstand - hinting to me that it would be appreciated if I delivered it to her. I told her she could live without it for a few hours and refused to take it to her. She left work early after suffering an anxiety attack - would never admit that it was cold-turkey withdrawal from the cell phone. It's a scarey thing.

I do admit to refreshing HD on my phone at redlights on my hour commute to and from work. This site is addicting. But yes, in general I totally agree with MtDoo, we're all f*^%ked. I have 4 kids, and see them texting when their friends are over and sitting there......dum de dum. I yell at them to enjoy the company of their 'present' friends, and put the damn phone down.

Then I get on my phone to check HD :wtf:

I used to rarely be on the phone, until I found this website. I'm trying to cut back, but sometimes find myself unable to resist the urge.

I Find that HD is a good alternative to Reality TV when the little woman is sucked in.

The Fermenting, The Stillin and The Building is really what drives her nuts. She thinks I'm crazy, I sitting smelling this jar and that jar... little tastes... close'er back up... Hydrometers and Alcoholmeter spread out... carboys stuffed in the corner of the dinning room and always some kind of concoction simmering on the stove. She claims I'm a mad scientist and turned our kitchen into a lab.

Every evening my wife relaxes watching 'mindless' tv while I play on the computer . She retires at 9 because she gets up at 4:30 am . the question every night is ,"Are you coming to bed ?" Answer is , " No , I'm still doing this online class ." That's what HD is for me .
If I'm gonna be a bear I'm gonna be a grizzly and HD is leading me down that path .
