Man just has to have it, and is gonna make it regardless of the challenges. In the back areas of Indonesia the locals make spirits without the luxuries we take for granted. They don't have stainless steel. They don't have copper pipe. They don't have running water. So how do they make it?

They take a hard burned clay pot, cover it with a tree trunk cut that is sliced to fit the clay pot, as a lid. Carve a hole in the middle of the lid, and insert a 20 feet long piece of bamboo. They make a bend in the bamboo by boiling it and slowly bending it into a 90 degree turn. The bamboo then runs horizontally, slightly downward, and collect the spirit at the end. No worm. No thumper. Just knock your socks off rocket fuel made from whatever fruit is in season.
