Moving Heat element.. Any Reason Not To??

Considering ideas for a larger/permanent setup I was wondering if slowly rotating the heat source under the boiler would help prevent charring with no adverse consequences.. I'm thinking around 4 rpm.. To clarify, I mean having a hot-plate ~0.5x the pot diameter, ofseeting it such that its center point is always half way between the center and edge of the pot.. Magnetic stirring with this setup also crossed my mind, but thats probably a moot point given feasible rpm's, and the agitation of the boil.. Seems easy, yet I haven't seen it so I'll ask those with experience..
