which would be better (element control)

so my 2' boka is almost completed (thank god!!)

and I'm looking for a voltage controller for my spirits runs, I a network engineer not an electrician so some help would be great

the 3 options are and prices (just for parts, labour is free)

simmerstat (the knobs you have on your oven) $50NZD
phase angle controller $120nzd
or a 2kw element that can be run as 1kw element (is essentially 2 elements joined together but can be seperated) $80

I was thinking the simmerstat would be to slow to hold voltage so I would loose reflux

I'm leaning towards the phase angle controller

If anyone has something pre built or any ideas, feel free to chime in, I would appreciate it

For boka you need a precise power control. So phase-angle controller is your choice.

There are other controller threads that detail putting the components in a box and adding a fan for cooling. HTH!!
