Bokakob finished, cleaning runs done.

Post by Tattoofreak »

Hey Everyone,

Started to build this still in February, had many-many problems....no pipe, no pump around, my plumber friend gave me a piece of 2' copper pipe, bought copper for my coil, found a keg for 10 euros, ordered tri clamps from ebay. It was finished in May, but did not have time-energy to clean it up.... :D Today I ran 20 litres of vinegar (made of sugar wash, just fermented weaker than usual, left it uncovered for a couple of weeks), then 15 litres of 15% sugar wash, no packing was inside, 1 drip per second ended up in 84% alcohol.... I am a happy camper, have to buy scrubbers, then I can strip 20 litres of 40% staff. (Distilled 100 litres of sugar wash with my potstill). I'll have to freeze some bottles of water to keep my cooling water temp fairly cold, cause after 1 hour of distillation I could feel the water temp rising. Pump was not strong enough to lift the water from the ground, so I put the barrell on top of the table.... Want to produce 94%+ cause it would be really good to experiment with different fruits, herbs, spices.....mango liquer, banana, raspberries....coffee liquer... Have a nice day.
