mash temperature

Hey Guys/Gals,

I am brand new on the forum but have been reading up on everything/researching the process in brewing shine. I recently put together my first mash to ferment but am worried that it might be stored in a temperature that is too high for it to properly ferment. Unfortunately for me my wife will not allow me to keep it in the house at the recommended 70-80 degrees F, so I am keeping it in the garage and it gets to around 90-95. Will this ruin the mash? I am attempting to brew an apple flavored shine and used the following ingredients:

2 gallons of apple cider
3 gallons of distilled water
10 lbs. sugar
5 tablespoons of activated yeast

not a mash its a wash but you are pushing the temperature to its limits.maybe place it in a tub of water.

Put a fan on it and open a window if you have one.

Thanks so much guys! I have since put it in a large wash basin and am using a submersible pump to run water over the container. I've found that by the end of the day the water is around 80 F but during the night it cools back down to 70F. Looks like my problem is solved

You could drape a towel over it so the water flows over it. And place a fan blowing on it. It will act like a swamp cooler. And will cool it more with evaporation. Even without a fan it would help.
