I butchered the easter bunny today - I'll eat it tomorrow - I hope it wont come back on sunday!

The little bugger must have resented me killing him - he was tough - perhaps I should have hung him a while.
What does hanging do?
How do you 'hang' a dead rabbit?
Do they 'hang' meat in hot climates?
Do putrefactive bacteria really improve the taste of meat?

I've read recipes for 'jugged hare' and dont think I'll try it!

we hang deer meat , stretching the meat tenderizes it .. we dont hang them for too long about 2 days if the temp is below 50 degrees F warmer climate would open the door for bacteria to start to setup .

finally, someone caught on.

Now that it is Easter, I guess I can let the cat outa the bag.

The ears were from a yearlying doe. The head got cut off, and tossed aside, as the deer were being cleaning. The lab must like the taste of deer brain, as there was not much left, but enough for a pix.
