ive got 2 sugar washes that are working but real slow. One is going into its 5th week, starting at an sg of 1.09 and is just 1.05 now. IVe re-used a turbo yeast with 3 tsp lemon juice and 1 cup of wheat germ. Ive added 2 tsp of fleishmans bread yeast and still the same one day later. Any ideas out there?
glad the forum is back on the internet! ive had withdrawel symptoms not getting my regular read.

I think you might need yeast nutrients. If it is a second use of a turbo yeast then all bets are off. The turbo packet contains the nutrients needed for one fermentation. If you are doing another batch with the same yeast then you have to add nutrients back in. Another problem could be that the yeast are in poor condition due to the high alcohol finish of most turbo. Mollases, fermax, more grain, nutrients... might help, but I wouldn't reuse turbos next time.
