Do you keep feints on an all-feints run?

Post by mmmmmm »

I was thinking that there's still good alcohol in there, but if you keep re-running it, the bad stuff will just accumulate..

I do not, for the reasons you state. Gotta dump it at some point. Seems a good one. You could I suppose, for grins, run it a few times and play around with pulling a little neutral out of the center. But who has time for that shite.
In theory there's no difference between theory and practice. But in practice there is.

I saved up my feints from several spirit runs. I didn't want to throw em out and was a bit curious. There was UJ, some piggy backs, some AG and some rum in there. The hearts were pretty good, very smooth with a light rum flavor. I put the feints from that run in a bottle for fire starter.

I might add I toss a lot of the heads from the spirit runs, so its more on the tails side of things. And also, I never added any feints back to a stripping run.

Yeah i'm the same, save up feints (especially from single pass column runs, as there's still a lot of good stuff smeared in with the heads and tails cuts either side of the kept cut) and run them through 6 plates + packed section to get out some neutral. I don't tend to keep the feints from my vodka runs as my column gets just about everything as clean as it can

But I discard the feints from an all-feints run for sure.

Fire starter, that's a good idea.

I do one run on all feints. The feints from it go to the fire jug. (gas can)
