I'm new to this forum although I have some experience in distilling, so I don't have questions at this time but just want to get aquainted.

I use a fractionating still with an off set condenser on a beer keg boiler (gas heat). I actually run it as a pot still, and am planning on building a pot in the near future. Basically, I make what is close to the UJSM recipe as my main (and favorite) spirit. Most of the small amount of people whom I allow to have some of my whiskey say it is very smooth and as good or better than commercial bourbons.

I'm intending on making a rye mash next. I was going to go into an apple brandy run, but the weather here virtually wiped out the apple crop so most of the orchards have no fall cider for sale this year.

I see a thread on "bottles and labels" in the Flavoring and Aging" section so I'll post some photos of mine.

Nice to meet you

Welcome...enjoy the stay.
