hi guys, was asked a question yesterday about flushing some yeast into your septic system to keep it working "properly"...
i've heard/been told for years about doing this, and if i was asked the same question before venturing into this hobby i would have said "yes, it will help alot"..
however, now that i know how yeasts really work/multiply and such, i don't think it would really help at all ??
reason being, cold temps below ground and all the other things that get flushed into the systems like chlorine, detergents ect..
wadaya all think ???
old wives tail ??

Cant say for sure, but I been sendin my used yeast with some slops down my drain since I started this. Last time I had the cover off, it was pretty foamy on top with no signs of floaties. Course I didnt stick my hand in it and feel for anything thou.
We're pretty conservative on the bleach and detergents thou. I should know if its doin any good in about another year when its due for a pumpin.

If it was easy everybody would do it.
