Hey everyone, i am trying to make my first absinthe batch. I am having a difficult time finding wormwood. I live in Orange County, California, does anyone know where I can find some over here? thanks for you help.

My sugar wash for ethanol is under the Tried and true recipes forum.

Some homebrew stores online also stock it.

I'll give you a warning though. A little goes a long way.

Most of the wormwood found in herb shops is of a quality not suitable for making quality absinthe. I would give these folks a try:

Somewhat expensive, but they carry most of the herbs needed for absinthe.

Cascade herbs are top quality.

herbspicetea is another place for other herbs.

You'll have a tough time getting anything better than Cascade Wormwood though. Their grand wormwood is terrific and the petite wormwood is excellent!
