Premium Oak - Stuff that look like sawdust.

So i get free oak at the HB store. The guy told me to try the premium oak, It looks to me like sawdust lol. Anyone use this stuff?

To me, premium oak comes out of my back yard.

I think that stuff is primarily for wines like merlot. Don't think it will do much for agin' whiskey.
