After reading a thread last night about airing out your cuts, which was totally hijacked into a dicussion about ultrasonic cleaners, I rememberd I had one! I have a unit made by nexxtech made for cleaning jewelery that had never been usèd. It runs on 60htz. But guess what, it holds exactly 500ml, the same amount I do my cuts with! So I poured a jar into it and ran 4 cyles, it runs 3 minute cyles. After trying the product it did seem more smooth. But it made it warmer than it was, and it always seems smoother when warm.
Has anyone tried using a jewelry cleaner, this one seems like it was desigmed for our hobby. They only cost like 40$ or less.
I know Odin has had lots of experiance with ultrasonic cleaners,as that thread was from 2009 really hoping he wieghs in on this thread.

Both Odin and I have done a lot with USC. I cannot find my thread showing our set up but both Odin and I have the same or similar machines. The following link might help.

The unit I use hold 1/2 gal. However, I put 2 pint jars of spirits in and fill with water. Then turn on the heat. The jars buzz around and bubble during the process. I will run mine loaded for 2-3 hours will stilling, cleans up heads real good and also speeds up with aging on wood.
I have not used it much on all grain mash but did use it a lot with sugar washes to clean up the bite.

Is it safe to put 95% into a usc? That is what I did and it seemed to work, not saying its safe, but it worked.
